Adagio Massage Therapy

Seated Chair Massage

Chair massage can be found in massage therapy practices, airports, malls, health fairs and the workplace. The recipient is seated in a specially designed chair which allows the therapist to work on the neck, back, shoulders and arms. No oil is used and the recipient is fully clothed. Chair massage uses accupressure and Swedish massage techniques.

Workplace Massage

Job stress from deadlines, rapidly changing technology and interpersonal conflicts keeps one million people from going to work each day and causes one-third of Americans to consider quitting their jobs. Cumulative stress without time to recharge can lead to:
- headaches, backaches, eye strain, neck pain
- repetitive use injuries such as tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome
- listlessness, poor concentration, anxiety, depression, irritability or anger
- low resistance to colds and infections
- high blood pressure, ulcers and heart disease

85% of employee accidents are stress-related as are 75% of employee illnesses. The International Labor Organization has reported that job stress costs the U.S. economy over $300 billion annually through diminished productivity, compensation claims, absenteeism, health insurance and direct medical expenses.

How Workplace Massage Works

Adagio, LLC offers on-site chair massage as a regular program or for special business functions. The workplace environment is not disturbed, as massage is provided during breaks, lunchtime, or before & after shifts. Therapists arrive on time and dressed professionally. A brief health screening ensures clients are able to receive massage. Therapists are nationally certified and fully insured.

Your business provides an adequate work area. The date and time is scheduled. The therapist provides a massage chair, related supplies, proof of liability insurance and state licensure.  Chair massage may be paid by the employer or employees. The cost is one dollar per minute in addition to a small travel fee. Chair massage is typically fifteen minutes per person for the greatest benefit.
